Ferscom marine service will assist shipowner to meet the requirements of regulations regarding the integration of ballast water management system (BWMS). Eventually, all relevant vessels shall have to install the ballast water treatment system (BWTS) to inactivate the invasive species and prevent the spread of non-native aquatic species in lakes, rivers and coastal waters.

Ferscom marine service will also update the (BWMP) Ballast water management plan after the integration of BWTS (Ballast water treatment System). This Ballast Water Management Plan will provide guidance and assistance to the vessels crew and operators in the  effectual operation of the ballast water treatment system. 

BWMP includes Tank arrangement and capacities, A piping diagram of the ballast water treatment system and a layout diagram of  the ballast control system, A list or set of diagrams showing sampling, operational sequences and the inclusive of following listed items.

• Recording Requirements

The IMO implementation schedule for BWTS requires the ship to install a type approved system no later than the renewal survey after the entry into force of the convention.
